Angelica Stuart is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has experience working with a diverse population that include children, teens, adults and couples. She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from University of California, Irvine. She went on to graduate from University of San Diego with a Masters in Counseling, specialization in Clinical Mental Health.
She has experience providing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy. Specialties include working with chronic mental illnesses (i.e., Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, OCD), PTSD and psychiatric crisis (suicidal ideation).
Angelica aims to provide a client-centered, empathetic and non-judgmental environment. She looks forward to collaborating with you in order to create a safe space to explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviors and how they impact your inner self and others. She tailors therapy to the unique needs of each client, based on the problem, goals and the individuals expectations and motivations.
In her free time, Angelica enjoys time with friends, family, trying new restaurants, comedy shows and travel.
