Cynthia Nyberg, LCSW
Cynthia Nyberg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping people navigate life’s challenges with confidence, clarity, and self-compassion. Whether patients are managing stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, or major life transitions, she provides a supportive and judgment-free space where they can heal and grow.
Cynthia earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California (USC), and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University San Marcos (CSUSM). Her background in psychology and social work allows her to take a holistic approach to therapy, addressing both emotional and practical aspects of well-being.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe negative thought patterns, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to build emotional resilience, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to promote balance and well-being. Cynthia is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful approach for processing trauma and reducing emotional distress.
Cynthia likes to keep it real! Therapy with her is about honesty, growth, and strategies that patients can actually use in their daily lives. Her goal is to help patients feel empowered, understood, and equipped to handle life’s ups and downs with confidence.
When she is not in session, you can find her spending time with her family, reading articles about current events, and enjoying a cup of coffee!
Cynthia is excited to work with patients to help them feel more balanced, fulfilled, and in control of their lives.
