Danica Oliver, LCSW
Danica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) whose therapeutic style is compassionate, nurturing, active and engaged. She loves helping clients find their own inner strengths and has seen amazing growth in her clients. Danica works to build rapport with her clients that can then make therapy a much more comfortable experience. She believes therapy can simply begin as a laying out of one’s thoughts and feelings. It often then unfolds naturally that someone feels more comfortable sharing and processing the difficult things. She believes as humans we are designed to be able to heal. Danica loves helping someone find their path back to their authentic self.
Danica grew up in Massachusetts and moved to California in 2005. She attended the University of San Diego and then completed her Master of Social Work degree at Tulane University, graduating summa cum laude.
She has been honored to serve clients with trauma-informed counseling using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), Bowenian family systems theory, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She is an EMDR trained therapist. She has worked with diverse populations, cross-cultural experiences, military veterans, those struggling with eating disorders: binge eating disorder and anorexia nervosa when weight-restored, and clients in the LGBTQ+ community. She has treated clients with ADHD and AuDHD and has a deep respect for neurodiversity. Danica has a welcoming style, a calm presence, and enjoys when her sessions can become a space where someone can finally feel understood.
