Deanna Lazaro, LCSW

Deanna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 12 years of experience working in community-based and private practice settings. Her integrative clinical work includes EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Because mental health issues are not contained within an individual Deanna uses a person-in-environment and systems perspective. This frames clients’ life challenges as a complex relationship between one’s personal experiences, culture, gender + orientation identity, spirituality, and physical health.

Deanna’s wide-range of work experiences have given her an eclectic and diverse skillset, which allows her to adapt to each client’s needs and life stage. Deanna integrates a trauma-informed and

evidenced-based treatments when guiding those affected by domestic violence, disabilities, grief, anxiety, and depression. She has experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, families, and couples seeking guidance as relationships evolve.

Deanna’s passion is to help you simultaneously identify what holds you back from attaining your goals and envision how you want to write your future. Our life struggles are oftentimes the open door we need for a new start, even though all change (including positive change) can be difficult to navigate.

Outside of therapy sessions, Deanna can be found hiking, camping, gardening, and generally soaking up the sun. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and community as well as doing crafts,

photography, theater, and the arts in general. Deanna also strongly believes in integrating self-care into everyday moments and can be found mindfully sipping coffee or enjoying a homemade charcuterie board throughout her day.
