Joyce Atkins, RDN

With over 16 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Joyce holds a Master of Science in Applied Nutrition from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Loma Linda University, California. Joyce has extensive experience across specialties, including pediatric care through adult renal nutrition and more, using client-centered motivational interviewing to provide personalized medical nutrition interventions.

Empathetic and understanding, Joyce’s goal is to meet patients exactly where they are, helping them achieve meaningful and realistic health outcomes. She is passionate about advocating for diverse communities—including LGBTQAI+, non-binary, children, women, and veterans—while promoting multicultural allyship and health equity both locally and nationally.

Beyond her professional work, Joyce actively supports causes that resonate with her by participating in charitable walks and runs across Southern California. She enjoys immersing herself in cultural and culinary travel experiences, attending music events, visiting museums, and exploring art shows. Above all, Joyce treasures quality time with her family and friends, especially her amazing son, who continues to be her greatest source of joy and inspiration.
