Lacey Clark, LCSW
Lacey Clark, LCSW earned her bachelor’s degrees from American Military University in the area of psychology. She then went on to complete her Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Lacey began her career in the mental health field 10 years ago. She has experience working with adolescents and individuals, in inpatient/outpatient settings, as well as other community environments. Lacey spent the early years of her career working with mental health settings with individuals with serious mental illness, focusing on obtaining stabilization.
Lacey’s approach is personalized to the needs of the individual client. She refers to herself as an eclectic Therapist who pulls interventions from evidenced-based practices such as CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy. Lacey uses a strengths-based perspective to help her clients dust off the tools they already have to lead the life they want.
Lacey’s communication is open and honest. She focuses on building rapport and creating a space that feels supportive and nurturing. She allows the client to take the session where it needs to go and to reach their goals of the session. Once a strong rapport is built with a client, Lacey can use it to challenge distorted thought processes and point out destructive patterns.
