Dr. Linda Giordano is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Originally from the New Jersey/New York City area, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey. She then went on to earn her Master of Social Work from New York University. After moving to California, she completed her Doctorate of Social Work from University of Southern California.
Dr. Giordano has worked with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, and families for 9 years. She has spent much of this time providing services in school-based settings while also having some experience supporting and advocating for survivors of 9/11 as well as volunteer experience providing support services for nonprofits. Dr. Giordano currently treats symptoms related to trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, grief, life challenges, and life changes. Over the years, she has completed trainings in Trauma-Informed Clinical Practice, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and has completed her Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Certification (TCTSY-F) for mental health professionals to offer a variety of evidence-based practices to her clients and to provide them with the care that best fits their needs. Dr. Giordano also has extensive knowledge in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interview (MI) to support a wide range of presenting problems.
As a therapist, Dr. Giordano values offering a safe person and safe space for her clients. She believes in building a positive therapeutic relationship with her clients to work together towards their goals and healing process.
