Madeleine Mauk, LMFT
Madeleine Mauk is a compassionate and skilled therapist who works with adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She specializes in treating a wide range of complications, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, grief, parenting challenges, trauma, and relationship issues. Madeleine takes a client-centered approach, tailoring her methods to align with each individual’s unique goals, values, and needs. She is deeply committed to fostering a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their authentic selves and experience meaningful growth.
Having personally navigated her own challenges and benefited from therapy, Madeleine brings a deep empathy and understanding to the therapeutic relationship. Her own experiences have shaped her approach, allowing her to connect with clients in a genuine and relatable way.
Her therapeutic style incorporates a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). As both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Madeleine brings over a decade of experience to her practice. Since 2012, she has worked in diverse settings, including schools, community clinics, crisis centers, and with displaced populations, honing her ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life.
Madeleine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Sonoma State University.
Outside of work, Madeleine enjoys exploring the beautiful California coast with her husband, three children, and their rescue dog, Kenny.
