Marcelle Turner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working within the therapeutic field for over 5 years. Marcelle is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Masters in Social Work. Her degree specifies in the physiological approach to mental health which allows her the expertise to be able to present a different approach to understanding mental health conditions.
Marcelle has strong skills in assisting clients with learning how to establish internal, emotional safety which is threatened by difficulties due to life stressors such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-esteem. Marcelle also utilizes a trauma-informed approach which incorporates a psychodynamic modality to ensure individuals can address childhood trauma which can cause difficulty in adulthood.
Marcelle specializes in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related disorders, depression and depression related disorders, mood disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, and trauma-treatment. Along with individualized therapy, Marcelle also has expertise in Marriage, Family, Military Life, and Military Family.
Marcelle draws from cognitive behavioral (CBT), acceptance and commitment (ACT), dialectical behavior (DBT), and attachment- and mindfulness-based therapies, as well as Solution Focused therapies and Positive Psychology.
During session, Marcelle prioritizes a safe and collaborative experience for all patients who may be experiencing an array of different needs.
In her free time, Marcelle enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors. Outside of therapy, she enjoys music, cooking, reading, and crafting.
