Page Lauer, LMFT
“LMFT, Friend, Advocate”
Page Lauer, LMFT, has been a therapist for over 25 years and still loves it! She is licensed and certified in various mind-body and evidence-based methods, so therapy can be tailored to your needs. Page knows life gets hard and stuff can pop-up out of nowhere. It's her mission to help you sort through life challenges and make meaningful sense of it all. As therapists go, she is not the quiet, nodding type who doesn't say much--she is right there with you, working it all out, shoulder to shoulder. Often, she is the therapist that treats others in the helping professions be it psychologists, doctors, nurses, teachers - so don't hesitate to reach out if this is you!
In sessions, you'll find a warm, judgement-free space that puts you at ease, so you feel heard and understood. Together, you and Page will unpack what's happening, find answers, and get results. Page doesn't just work to resolve symptoms or take care of surface-stuff. She treats the whole person, activating your inner strengths and long-held dreams. If she has done her job, your life will be better than before. Page is also practical, providing resources and homework as desired. With a knack for deep insight and boiling things down, clients better understand what's going on and access motivation to take action.
In terms of populations, Page has a passion for women's issues (infertility, miscarriage, postpartum depression, menopause, body-image) and works with couples as well as adults of all ages experiencing a variety of emotional and behavioral difficulties. Her areas of expertise include eating disorders, obesity, depression, anxiety, chronic stress, grief and loss, life transitions, spiritual counseling, parenting, and couples distress (including separation and divorce).
In terms of approach, Page uses a strength based, integrative, trauma-informed and goal-oriented approach to help clients find solutions and improve their daily lives. Her integrative clinical work includes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, PolyVagal Theory, Gestalt Therapy, and mindfulness practices. If you're ready to live the life your soul knows is possible, Page would love to help you access your strengths, heal the spots that hurt, and move toward lasting change.
Outside of therapy, Page spends most of her time with her family at sporting events, or hiking and doing yoga. She also loves the beach and loves to read.
