Sarah Peklo, LMFT
Sarah is an LMFT with 13+ years of experience in the field. She is a warm, curious and determined clinician who combines her care for people with her love of puzzles to create a supportive atmosphere of self-exploration and problem-solving.
Sarah has a particular passion for supporting healthcare workers who all too often put themselves last in addition to suffering from secondary trauma, burn-out and compassion fatigue. Fellow therapists are especially welcome! She has focused experience with niche populations including those suffering from severe mental illness, military veterans, incarcerated men and women, youth in foster care, and partners of public figures. Sarah also works frequently with OCD, addiction, sexual trauma, and survivors of abuse.
Typical sessions with Sarah involve discussing your current challenges, examining how your reactions to these challenges fit into the matrix of your life experiences, and exploring actionable change to achieve the outcomes you desire. Her therapeutic philosophy is grounded in ACT and Existentialism. She also draws from a foundation of modalities including CPT, ERP, Family Systems, Psychodynamic Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
When not in session, Sarah can be found in her garden, spending time with both furry and non-furry family members or playing games.
