Tiffany Yu Nakamura is a dual licensed clinician in Hawaii and California, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego with an emphasis on Asian American Mental Health. She received her BA in Psychology also from University of San Diego.
For nearly a decade, Tiffany was a Senior Eating Disorders Clinician and Researcher at the UC San Diego Eating Disorders Treatment and Research Center treating eating disorders across the age spectrum and researching various treatment outcomes. Prior to that she interned at Urban Corps of San Diego providing individual and group counseling for at risk young adults in marginalized communities.
Tiffany has specialized clinical training in DBT, RO-DBT, FBT, DBT-PE (Prolonged Exposure), and ACT with extensive experience treating anxiety, mood, and adjustment disorders. She is also a certified yoga instructor and led trauma informed yoga groups with teens and adults.
For fun Tiffany loves yoga, rock climbing, surfing, traveling, and animals – particularly a Chihuahua-Papillon named Mimi.
